Camberley Town Youth 1 Fleet Town Youth 3

What a night! The boys were all terrific from start to finish playing against a side full of quality players and many who had played under the current FT Management so was always going to be an interesting derby match.

The first 20 mins were pretty cagey with both sides looking to make an impact in the game and it was Fleet that took the lead when Jack Selby skilfully headed through and smashed the ball home from a tight angle.

Camberley started to make in roads and were keeping possession well and a good cross from the right was headed towards Harrison in goal and he made a smart stop but could not stop the ball from being bundled home from a few yards out so 1 each at half time.

Second half Fleet were kicking down the slope and we started to really get on top and it was no surprise from some great work on the right from Peter Day and Ross Ewen that ended up with a cross to Luke Hollis who chested down and smashed it past the keeper.

Apart from a few corners Camberley were struggling to break down the stubborn defence of Fleet who defended brilliantly all evening and it wasn’t long until Lewis Wall scored a great goal from a cross from the right again from Peter Day.

Superb – well done boys!
