Fleet Town (in 20th) took on Hanwell Town (in 19th) in a vital league match sponsored by easi-leaflets at the Frank Foundations Stadium. With the game so vital to both sides, a tight struggle ensued, with neither side able to dominate, there was non-stop end to end action to keep the faithful in the stands and sidelines warm on a bright chilly afternoon, but very few clear chances opened up for either side, so in the end both sides had to settle for another valuable point out of this... view more >

Fleet Town Progress in North Hants Cup
Fleet Town eventually eased their way through this first hurdle in their defence of the North Hants Cup, although it did not look that would be the outcome early on, as Tadley Calleva's Reserve side started strongly and should have gone ahead in the first couple of minutes, when Adam Bartlett coming in at the far post powered his header to a pinpoint cross, just wide of the post. All the players, management and fans of Fleet Town came away rom this match scratching their heads in disbelief that Fleet came away with nothing from this match against high flying Beaconsfield. Fleet had the first clear chance of the game inside the first ten minutes, when Ashley Lloyd got his head to a free kick, but saw the ball clear the bar.
