Chalfont St Peter 0 Fleet Town 0

Fleet Town eeked out another valuable point on the road as they stifled everything that Chalfont through at them, which all things considered was not a lot, as the game went on, it looked more and more as if there was a goal coming it would be for Fleet Town as they had the majority of the possession and chances, in the second half.
Fleet started pressing forward with Danilo Cadete on the right wing and played over two early crosses, first to the near post, then one to the far post, but both were caught by keeper Dennison. A solo run and attack by Billy Oram saw him take the ball into the box before unleashing his shot, which Chalfont managed to scramble away. The most dangerous moves from Chalfont in the first half, came when Mark Goodman made overlapping runs down the right and played over several crosses but did not pick out his teammates in positions they could threaten the Fleet goal. Fleet soon had the ball down the other end, again it was Danilo Cadete making space on the wing to play in a dangerous cross, this time finding the head of Matt Bunyan but Dennison made the save.
The second half saw Fleet take the game to Chalfont even more, but despite all the hard work, the best chances came from two free kicks taken by Liam Flanighan, the first one being palmed away by Dennison, the second had beaten Dennison but passed just over the bar. From free play it was Danilo in the heart of the action as he got in several dangerous crosses but there was always enough defenders to get the ball away. It was not all one way action, Chalfont were able to force a few corners as shots struck defenders and ran out for corner kicks, which were all easily dealt with.
Unlike Saturday when the 0-0 could have been 4-4, this 0-0 never looked as if it would be more than 1-0.
