Evesham United 4 Fleet Town 0

Evesham strengthened their play off push at the expense of Fleet Town. Steve Davies started the scoring on 11 minutes, turning in an Adam Page cross and the same player doubled the advantage on 35 minutes when he nodded in from a corner kick. Kane Simpson made the game safe for the home side on 66 minutes with a goal from close range. Adam Page put the icing on the cake, ten minutes from the end, with a fantastic free kick from 25 yards, lifting the ball over the Fleet wall, to flash just inside the post before Harvey White could get across. Fleet remain in 19th place as Barnstaple lost as well, but both sides now level on -50 goal difference, making next Saturday’s clash between the sides in Devon even more vital for either side to survive the drop.
