Fleet Town Youth 2 Sholing Youth 0

The lads did very well against a physical direct side in Sholing and dominated for long periods of the first half without testing their keeper too much. Harrison in goal was back from injury and his kicking and distribution was giving Sholing lots of problems.

The key message was to keep a clean sheet and the lads were working very hard to defend well and  ensure Harrison had very little to do!

The first goal came from a superb volley from Peter Day who span from a  tight angle and arrowed a shot over the keeper into the far corner.

The second goal that finished the tie came from Jack Selby who ran at the defence and shot from 25 yards that flew into the bottom corner.

Apart from a few silly fouls that allowed Sholing to hammer the ball forward into our box the game was over and the lads fought well and look forward to the next tie in the County Cup
