Season Review – Fleet Town Under 18 Youth Side (updated)

As the 2018/9 season starts to come to its conclusion, the time has come to look back on their successful campaign.

Playing in the South Division of the Allied Counties League, this was planned as an ten team division, but this was reduced to nine when Farnham Town withdrew shortly before their first game, which would have been against Fleet Town.

Fleet Town Youth have one more game to play, next Tuesday (9th) away to Ash United, Fleet are currently the divisions top scorers having hit the net 48 times in the 15 games played so far, Fleet will finish the league in second place, as Camberley Town’s win on 3rd April, secured them the title and passage to the end of season cross divisional championship between the four regional divisions winners. In addition to the nine league wins so far, Fleet Town Youth also had wins against Thatcham Town in the FA Youth Cup and Sholing in the Hampshire Midweek Youth Cup.

Several of the squad have forced their way into the First team squad and now turn out regularly for them in Southern League fixtures.

The Fleet Under 18’s won their last match by 5-1, taking their goal tally in the 16 league games to 53, an aveerage of over 3 goals per game.
