Banstead Athletic 1 Fleet Town 2

Banstead started the game the stronger and not looking like the basement club of the division, took the lead from very close range, through Newman within the first 30 minutes, a lead they kept to half time.

Fleet were more switched on and looking dangerous after the break, ten minutes into the half a Fleet shot came back off the post and first to react was Shemar Pettet, on his return from the injury picked up against Guildford at new year, he followed in and scored to bring Fleet level. Fifteen minutes after coming on as sub, debutant Joe Western lifted the ball over keeper Wilson to give Fleet the lead. Banstead made a double change to try to look for a way back into the game before their goalscorer Newman was shown a Red Card for a foul on Billy Oram, Banstead immediately made a triple change to get all their fresh legs on to make up for being down to ten players for the final few minutes. Fleet were able to see the game out and complete this away win.
