Bracknell Town 5 Fleet Town 1

In Fleet’s penultimate they travelled to step 4 side Bracknell Town to play on their impressive 4G pitch. Bracknell fielded a very strong team including ex-Fleet favourite Joe Gater.

The game started at a whirlwind pace with Bracknell having the majority of possession and Fleet defending well. Ultimately the pressure did pay with Bracknell scoring two quick goals. In between Fleet goalkeeper Aiden Upward made an excellent save from a penalty. This is not to say that Fleet had no attacks with both Taylor Watts and Bradley Wilson having chances to score. Bracknell continued to attack and ultimately scored 4 goals in the first.

Neither team made wholesale changes at half-time, Fleet changed their structure and started to make more inroads into the Bracknell defence. Fleet’s goal came when a Bradley Wilson cross floated in at the far post. Bracknell scored one more goal in the second half and the game continued on at a good pace and was thoroughly entertaining.

Thank you to Bracknell for hosting us at their well appointed stadium, I am sure they will do well this coming season.
