Camberley Town 3 Fleet Town 1

The travelling Blues fans got the feeling it was going to be a long difficult afternoon when Will Boye put Camberley ahead after only 3 minutes, but Fleet held the home side at bay for another half an hour before Steve Lee added a second for Camberley, the score remained at 2-0 until half time.

Fleet came out for the second half and dominated large periods of play but could not make a quick breakthrough needed to build on and missed that bit of luck all sides need in front of goal. The Camberley keeper Cawdron making a fine save on 56 minutes, then having to face a Penalty on 59 minutes pulled off the save to deny Billy Oram. Cawdron was called into action again on 64 minutes to come out and claim a ball that beat the home defence before Fleet could get a shot off. Then when Fleet were through they could only find the side netting. Against this run of play Camberley got the ball down the other end and Macca Martin was able to score a third goal for Camberley. Fleet never stopped trying and into added time Cawdron gives Fleet another spot kick, this time the Penalty is taken by Dan Bone who scored what was only a late consolation for Fleet and the game ends with a 3-1 defeat.

Next Game for Fleet Town is a visit to Guildford City on Wednesday night (7.30 KO) in the Quarter Final of the Southern Combination Cup.
