Steve Davies started the scoring on 11 minutes, turning in an Adam Page cross and the same player doubled the advantage on 35 minutes when he nodded in from a corner kick. Fleet managed to soak up the early Sholing pressure and took five minutes to get the ball down the other end, the ball in was collected by Sholing, but a poor clearance fell perfectly to Bradley Wilson, he controlled the ball and fired it back past Ryan Gosney into the net to give Fleet an early lead.
