Fleet played two friendlies on Saturday with one victory and one defeat. Fleet split their squad with half travelling down to Horndean Tech College to play Clanfield of the Hampshire Premier League. Clanfield are managed by former Fleet Town player Lee Blakeley.

The game was entertaining and gave players more minutes in preparation for the season start. Fleet scored first with a penalty and then doubled their lead with a free kick curled into the bottom corner. A third goal was added before half-time when Fleet latched onto a poor back header and rounded the goalkeeper. Half-time bought a number of changes with some Fleet youth players getting a chance. A final goal was added for Fleet with a lovely left footed curling effort. A good run out for both teams will surely help the season ahead.

The second game of the season was at Farnham an bought Fleet their first pre-season defeat of the season. A poor performance in the first half found Fleet 2 nil down. Things improved in the second half and Fleet made a number of chances but were unable to score, to finish the game off Fleet had a player sent off.
