CLUB STATEMENT

Fleet Town FC are pleased to confirm the appointment of a new management team, following the decision of Steve Dormer and Andy Hunt to step down in the last few days.

We will have two Joint Managers – Simon Haughney and Martin Grey, who have worked together in the past, most recently at Walton and Hersham. They are bringing with them Paul Thomas as assistant manager, Simon and Paul also work together in Soccer coaching for their day jobs at Onside FC. Even with no football to play for a couple of months, the guys will be busy behind the scenes, recruiting additional back room staff and some new players to bolster our squad and replace any that have decided to move on or retire from playing, before the hard work of training will start in the second half of June.

In addition the new management team will be liasing with our secretary, Richard Whittington to come up with some exciting pre-season friendlies, games against lower level sides to trial new players to some more prestigious opponents visiting Calthorpe Park, for spectators to enjoy.

More information on personal and games will be added in due course, keep checking back for updates.

With the start of another new and exciting era, there is no better time for new sponsors to come onboard and be part of this future, many packages are available from a one off matchball at a modest few £££’s to stadium naming rights for several thousands £££’s per year, contact chairman@fleettownfc.co.uk soonest, in case someone else beats you to the deal you want.
