Cove 2 Fleet Town 1

In Fleet’s third pre-season friendly they travelled to local neighbours Cove. Cove have had a difficult few years near the bottom of the Combined Counties Division One but are rebuilding this year to try and move up the table and compete.

The Fleet team contained many young players looking to gain their places in the squad for the next season and a few trialist’s trying to do the same thing. The game was close throughout with Cove taking a 2-0 lead before Kaine McCauley pulled a goal back. The game though will be most remembered as the first game involving Fleet that a sin bin was used, a Cove player being sin-binned for dissent.
