Fleet Town 0 AFC Totton 4

Fleet Town exited the Russell Cotes Cup at the quarter final stage, the game was all but over as a contest, inside two minutes, as Totton scored twice in their opening attacks. From taking the kick off, it only took Fleet a few seconds to lose the ball, played on to Rob Nichols, he ran forward to the box and fired home, well inside the first minute. A minute later Totton attacked down the left, for Oluwatobi Adekunle to cross for Nathanial Sherbourne to nod in at the far post. Slowly Fleet started to get back into the match, keeping the ball better, a good chance came their way after a quarter of an hour winning a free kick out on the left, the kick was played in to the 6 yard box and under pressure keeper Shane Murphy was forced to punch clear. But after half an hour Totton played the ball forward long down the right, touched past the advancing Beach, the ball rolled slowly into the empty box and Sherbourne ran in to tap home. Chris Wales was brought on early to add more solidity to the middle of the park, so that Fleet were able to hold the score at three at half time. Both sides made more changes through the first half of the second period, Totton were still having the majority of the chances, without looking like adding to their score, until one cross from Tony Lee fell perfectly for Sherbourne to tap in and complete his hat-trick. Totton could have added to their tally but when sub, Craig Feeney got into the box, he fired wide of the target and another sub Curtis Young saw Liam Beach get down to save the shot.
