Fleet Town 0 Tadley Calleva 1

Fleet went into the game with continued defensive problems and had at least 4 first regulars missing. Keeping with their regular 3 at the back formation players fitted into that formation. Jake Hammond made a welcome return to the bench after being injured in the first league game of the season.

Onto the match and to be honest this is going to be one of the shortest match reports I have written…not much happened throughout the game. Both teams tried to attack in the first half, Tadley having more success in making progress but found Ryan Bone positioned well to save shots or headers. Fleet had occasional attacks forward but Matt Pearse was isolated up front. Half-Time 0-0

The game continued in the same pattern in the second half, with both teams having more success going forward but still not many clear cut chances. Tadley scored the winning goal from the penalty spot with about 5 minutes remaining. A clash of legs in the box resulted in a penalty being given, which Tadley took full advantage. Fleet had a goal disallowed, but couldn’t repeat the last minute antics of Saturday in Portland. Full-Time 0-1
