Fleet Town 1 Horndean 1

In the last game of 2019 Fleet played out a 1-1 draw with a well organised Horndean team. When the teams met earlier in the season Fleet won 4-0 at Horndean but there have been a number of changes in personal since then.

The game started quickly and Horndean took the lead after 5 minutes with their first attack. A break down the right wing left their winger free and he planted the ball into the far corner past Chris Harris. Fleet hit back quickly and Aaron Redford scored a simple tap in from 5 yards from a good Billy Oram cross. The rest of the half had a fair amount of attacking from both sides with Ude Osmi being particularly prominent down the Fleet right wing. Half-time 1-1

The second half continued in a very similar style with both sides pushing for further goals but both sides defences were on top form making last ditch tackles and blocks. When Fleet or Horndean strikers got past the defences they were met by excellent goalkeeping. Chris Harris made a number of good saves and the Horndean goal keeper made good saves from Jake Hammond and the returning Taylor Watts. Full-time 1-1
