Fleet Town 2 Baffins Milton Rovers 0

After the large win last Saturday, Fleet knew that things would be harder against a tough Baffins Milton Rovers. A team that Fleet had 2 tough games against last year. Fleet kept the same team as the previous week, giving Matty Pearse another start up top.

Fleet continued with their pressing game but found themselves up against a much better team that Cowes so it took longer for them to find their first goal. When the goal did come it came from an unexpected source. Brad Passfield headed in a corner for his second goal in two games, but his only goals for Fleet. With both sides making chances Fleet knew they needed a second goal. When it came it came from a close range side foot finish from Matty Pearse. The youngster having a great first half, also hitting the bar with an audacious effort when the keeper was out of place. Half-time 2-0

Baffins came out a renewed side after the break, not only verbally but also after making a triple change. This change bought them into the game greatly and they started to make chances. The best of them hitting the post and landing back in Fleet goalkeeper, Harry Nash’s arms. Fleet had chances with shots from Billy Oram well saved. With Fleet making substitutes the fluency of the game started to go but they battled well to not concede a goal and get the three points. Full-time 2-0
