Oram Chops Down Wood

Fleet made their second trip of the season up the A3 to Colliers Wood United, this time for a Combined Counties Premier Division South fixture. The home side took the lead inside ten minutes when they were able to head the ball past Hardcastle, the lead though did not last long as a fierce shot from Billy Oram flew into the net to bring Fleet level. Ten minutes later Fleet had turned the game around when Billy Oram put Fleet ahead from the Penalty spot, a lead they held onto up to half time.

The second half saw Fleet press for more and fifteen minutes into the half Billy Oram let fly from 30 yards and his thunderbolt roared into the top of the net, to complete his hat trick and extend Fleet’s advantage to 3-1. Inside the last ten minutes substitute Matty Pearce put the icing on the cake when he calmly tucked the ball away to make the game safe.

Final Score Colliers Wood United 1 Fleet Town 4.
